It’s been confirmed that our home & office, and entire neighborhood were destroyed. So we now start the long-term process of rebuilding.
We are able to handle customer updates, if needed. So, please don’t hesitate to contact us via phone or email, with any request.
We received a call from family in Davis, CA with an offer to stay with them, after the second evacuation from our friends’ home in Bennett Valley. So we drove two hours to Davis; Mainly to get out of the smoke, and gather our thoughts.
We’re rounding up misc. cables to replace those that had been left behind, so we are able to restore our systems from backups.
We are able to make basic updates to websites if needed. Currently the best communication is via email.
Thanks for the many offers of assistance.
We evacuated in early hours Monday morning, ahead of the fire. There wasn’t much time to alert nearby neighbors, grab what we could, and make a quick retreat, But we fear, our home & office are lost. Many in the area are gone. We hope that all of our neighbors are safe. Now staying with friends in Bennett Valley. Regrouping. It’s a sad day for many. And our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who is affected by this tragedy.
This weekend GraphicSmith is deploying a Video-on-Demand (VOD) service for Dr. John A. McDougall’s Advanced Study Weekend. Twice a year nutrition experts from all over the country converge in Santa Rosa, California. These weekends are dedicated to broadening the understanding of plant-food based nutrition and conservative medical care. Thanks to the online video capabilities, many people who otherwise would not be able to attend the meeting, are able to watch all the presentations from the comfort of their home or office. Customers can watch the lectures as often as they like, (recorded for convenient playback) for 180 days. Using the latest in online video broadcasting technologies, and formats such as Flash & HTML5, allows the video presentations to be viewable across all major computer platforms. These include PCs, Macs, iPads, and smartphones such as Google’s Android phones, and Apple’s iPhones.
Graphicsmith, a Santa Rosa website design firm, recently launched three new websites. All three websites are owned by Sonoma County companies.
Dan Hardin Architect, is a full-service architectural firm experienced in residential, commercial & schools design for projects in Santa Rosa & Sonoma County. Two websites were developed for Healdsburg photographer, Barbara Bourne. Through Wine Country Photo Adventures, Barbara offers 1 & 2 hour wine country photo excursions for individuals & small groups. Barbara also operates Wine Country Bottle Pix, which provides professionally photographed wine bottles, customized to fit the demands of local wineries in the Northbay.
All three website were developed with WordPress, a popular content management system (CMS). WordPress allows customers to update their sites and blogs at any time from any web browser.
We recently redesigned our website to take advantage of the latest website technologies. Our old website was designed with standard html coding, which worked well for quite a few years. Our new site is built around a state-of-the-art content management system (CMS). It utilizes correct search engine submission methods, browser caching for fast page response, and is W3C validated for standard-compliant browser compatibility.
Additionally our new site is built with an alternate mobile-friendly version. The mobile version automatically switches over when a visitor loads our site with a new smartphone browser. As with all the sites we design, we’ve made every attempt to keep the site navigation simple and user friendly.
The updated site contains lots of banner images shot in and around Sonoma County. Our banner photos capture the natural wonder of our area. In our opinion, Northern California’s Wine Country is one of the most beautiful areas of California.
Browse around the site. We hope you enjoy the new look.
